Paul Rabalais has helped Louisiana families with estate planning and succession matters since 1991. He earned his finance degree and law degree from Louisiana State University and an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University.

Paul has devoted much of his career to helping families understand wills, trusts, powers of attorney, successions, and the transfer of property to future generations. He is also the founder of the American Estate Planning Series and has educated millions of consumers through books, videos, and other estate planning resources.

Paul continues to meet with clients and provide the experience and strategic guidance developed during more than three decades of practice. He works closely with Catherine Martinez, who oversees the preparation and completion of the firm’s estate planning documents and provides clients with ongoing continuity for their future legal needs.

Catherine Martinez has worked with Paul Rabalais and the firm’s clients for more than 15 years. She focuses her practice on helping Louisiana families create and complete estate plans that clearly reflect their wishes and protect the people they care about.

Catherine oversees the preparation and completion of the firm’s estate planning documents and works closely with clients throughout the process—from the initial planning recommendations through document review and signing. Because she remains involved in the implementation of each plan, many clients appreciate meeting with Catherine from the beginning of the estate planning process.

Catherine also serves as the exclusive Louisiana Contributing Attorney for the American Estate Planning Series, a national consumer education initiative providing state-specific estate planning guidance. Through her educational videos and client work, she explains Louisiana topics such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, community property, usufruct, forced heirship, and successions in a practical and understandable way.
