Update My Estate Plan
If you’ve previously worked with our firm and need to update your estate planning documents, we’re happy to help.
Common reasons clients return include:
Changes in family circumstances
Changes in assets or property
Death of a spouse, trustee, or beneficiary
Desire to add or revise a trust
General updates to keep documents current
Our Process for Updates
We use a streamlined process designed to respect your time while ensuring your plan remains effective under Louisiana law.
Step 1: Complete the Update Questionnaire
You’ll start by completing a short questionnaire so we can understand what has changed since your last plan.
Step 2: Brief Intake Call (If Needed)
In some cases, you may have a short phone call with Brooke, our Paralegal & Intake Coordinator, to clarify next steps.
Step 3: Zoom Planning Meeting
If appropriate, you’ll meet by Zoom with the attorney to review changes and discuss recommendations.
Step 4: Signing Appointment
Updated documents are signed in person by appointment:
Baton Rouge — weekly
New Orleans — weekly
Most updates are handled on a flat-fee basis.
In many cases, planning session fees are waived or credited for returning clients.
